Android Phones - Hidden Hardware Codes

Tested on: [CyanogenMod] Nexus Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich), Android 2.3.6 (Gingerbread).

These codes will show technical information and enable/disable hidden menu based settings for the Android OS on most mobile phones and devices. Not all versions of Android and hardware will initiate these secret codes, but most are universal for all devices whatever release version of Google's Android mobile operating system is installed.

Note that some codes can change settings, so be aware of this and do so at your own risk.

To use, type in the codes into the phone module - the last code will trigger the event.

This code is specific to particular phone models.

Factory Reset Defaults:

Will remove most data from the device, excluding System software, Carrier applications, SD card files. A prompt will give the option to proceed or not.

Factory Reset AND Format:

This code will remove all data including internal memory storage. No prompt given so will initiate on the last digit.
