The Beatles White Album - Backwards Message

Suggested by: G-back, 29 Aug 2007 | Print version

The Beatles have lots of these on their albums. Between the songs "I'm so Tired" and "Blackbird" there is gibberish. If you play it backwards, you can clearly hear a message about Paul. (Paul is a dead man, miss him, miss him, miss him).

I just returned from Rishikesh in India and walked around the abandoned grounds of the ashram where the Beatles spent some time in 1968 and couldn't help thinking that it was these "eggs" that were meant in the line, "I am the eggman, we are the eggmen" On the way up, the path is lined with many egg-shaped domes which are numbered and were used as meditating pods, I have read that John Lennon meditated in "Number 9" also hard not to couple with the crazed song so called on White Album -- Pete KIlkenny, Mar 20 2009 4:52AM

Fake! Paul McCartney is still alive! -- Ducklover8, May 20 2008 2:47PM

Just as a note for anybody new to the Paul is Dead phenomenon, none of this is actually real. All of it is in the minds of the listeners. :) The gibberish referred to in this one is actually John saying "M'sieur M'sieur would you like more?" -- Matt, Mar 24 2008 4:14AM

There's a whole website dedicated to all the Paul is Dead stuff at www.paulisdead.co.uk -- Mike, Sep 2 2007 5:42PM
